I grew up watching my grandmother read cards (Bói Bài Tây) for the Vietnamese community. These were people who had lost everything, starting over in a new country, and who would come to her for guidance. I didn't know it then, but I was taking notes.

At home, the cosmos showed up differently. I knew I was a Tiger in the Vietnamese lunar zodiac (Mười hai con giáp) but I always knew there was more to it than that.

Meanwhile, we arranged our home according to feng shui (of course). We had the lucky three-legged gold toad by the front door. There was always a fountain somewhere in the house. Anytime we moved, the house address numbers had to add up to something auspicious. None of this was discussed as a spiritual practice; it was just how my siblings and I grew up and my mother just did the things and that was that.

Years later, at my own crossroads, I turned to the stars + cards. They answered and helped guide my path when I had questions about possibilities, challenges, and opportunities.

As I got older, I learned it was a language for the soul I didn't know I was missing. Astrology, tarot, and other practices gave me direction, guidance and helped me understand life's uncertainties.

Now I share how these tools and practices can help you understand the blueprint you were born with, forge your own soul path, and live the life you were meant to live.
