Map Your Constellation Life Astrology Reading

You already see yourself in your chart. This is about what to do with all of you

The most interesting thing about your birth chart isn’t what one placement means. It’s what happens when we start mapping your constellation.

A birth chart is full of different wants, instincts, tensions, strengths, and contradictions, and I don’t go down your chart placement by placement and tell you what each one means. I look at the whole thing: what repeats, what connects, where there’s tension, and which themes seem to carry more weight.

Then we look at the life you’ve actually been living. What parts of you have already been expressed? Where do they seem to compete with each other? What keeps showing up across work, relationships, creativity, money, home, or the things you keep being drawn back to?

In a Constellation Life reading, we don’t run down a list of your placements in isolation or use your chart to tell you what your life should look like.

We're looking at the pattern of it all, to see the shape of you, and the life you’re living now, where it all connects together, and where else you can expand.

As Above, So Below…

If you're into astrology, even as a beginner, you're probably someone who looks for meaning.

When something happens in your life, you seek meaning in it. You wonder why? Why did this relationship affect you so deeply? Why did one decision change everything?

Astrology gives us a language for exploring those questions.

“As above, so below” is an old Hermetic phrase that says the patterns of the cosmos and the patterns of life reflect one another.

Your birth chart is a picture of the sky the moment you were born.

Within your birth chart, we find patterns that reflect your temperament, desires, contradictions, relationships, work, creativity, belonging, change — all the very human stuff of being alive.

Psychologist James Hillman wrote about something he called the acorn theory: the idea that, just as an acorn already carries the pattern of the oak, there may be something particular about the shape of a person's life from the beginning.

It’s not a predetermined future, a perfect career, or “life purpose,” but more the pattern.

If you’re observant, you’ll notice that certain things keep calling your attention, or the same questions, or tensions keep following you, or similar lessons that don’t stop coming.

What a Constellation Life is…

A Constellation Life is a life big enough for more than one part of you.

We’re often taught to look for the thing: the right career, the right calling, the role that somehow brings together what we’re good at, what we love, what matters to us, and — ideally — also pays the bills.

Sometimes it does, and other times, your life wants more room than one job could reasonably provide.

You might want meaningful work and financial stability. But maybe you also want to make art, study something because you love it, build a community, travel, care for people you love, spend three years getting very good at something obscure, or simply have parts of your life that exist because they’re fun.

None of those things has to justify the others. Your chart contains different drives, needs, tensions, and ways of expressing yourself.

Now, we get to see where each part of you gets to live.

Maybe one part belongs in your work, and another comes alive through what you make, study, practice, learn, explore, or do purely for enjoyment.

We’re not going to build a perfectly optimized life where every placement gets its own color-coded hobby; instead, we notice the larger pattern and make enough room for your life to actually resemble you.

Your job doesn't have to hold your entire soul but…your entire life can.

You don't need one perfect star; you need a constellation.

The Stars of Your Constellation

I use five different lenses when I look at where your planets sit, what houses they're in, the aspects, and how they activate each other (or not). I study what’s emphasized in your chart, what is most likely easy to activate, and what areas are quieter or harder to work with.

Then I translate that into the actual stuff of your life. So if you've got big serious daddy Saturn sitting in your chart that's supposed to be about fun + play, it might explain why you feel having fun feels difficult or how to have fun in a Saturnalian way that can feel like you’re working with your chart rather than against it.

When you work with your chart, that’s when life begins to really flow.

The Five Stars that make up a “Constellation Life.”

Stability Star: What helps you feel resourced and grounded and secure? This is how you make your money, what you actually value, what "enough" looks like for you specifically.

Expression Star: Human beings are social creatures and we have a need to express who we are but not everybody understands how or what’s the best outlet for this star. So here is where we look at what’s in you + your chart that wants to be shared and expressed? It’s the part of you that wants to get made, or said, or shared. It’s really all the creative stuff, the ideas, all the output that's looking for a way out.

Expansion Star: Most of us are always looking to grow into our fullest selves, especially if you’re into astrology. Is it more adventure and exploration? Maybe it’s higher learning or diving deeper into your spirituality. This star looks at where growth might be fruitful for you. What do the cosmos want you to reach for? Where can you grow for a more expansive view?

Mastery Star: What are you here to build slowly and actually take seriously? The thing you'd happily stay up too late working on and be known for. This is the area of life that you’re meant to build authority in and form mastery. I call it where structure meets your ambition.

Meaning Star: If you’re the type of person that needs to make meaning out of things that happen to you, this is an important star because meaning makes life worth living. Where do you find true meaning? It can be one thing, or it can be a number of things like relationships, having a family, serving the community, but your chart can help you define what is personally worth it.

Maybe a few of these stars are shining bright for you; maybe one or two have disappeared or dimmed over time, so this experience will give you a holistic picture of what’s lit up right now, what needs a little more sparkle, and help guide you to where you need to go in this life.

Who's Reading Your Constellation

I'm Amy Truong — mystic, astrologer, and author of the Divine Cosmos Tarot (Llewellyn, October 2026).

I grew up watching my Vietnamese grandmother read Tarot for a living after immigrating to the US during the Vietnam War. By 12, I was reading horoscopes in teen magazines. That curiosity never stopped! It just deepened into Western and Vedic astrology, Tarot, moon cycles, spellwork, and spiritual energetics.

Before I created any of this, I lived many lives. There was a career in corporate tech and IT consulting. Traveling the world as a digital nomad. Nonprofit leadership and strategy. Writing, publishing, and eventually building the spiritual frameworks I teach today.

This life wasn’t random because I used my birth chart. It worked so well that I created Living a Constellation Life. It’s a framework that I built to help others find their own ideal, aligned, and optimized life, including money, creativity, meaning, and love.

My unconventional path has led to invitations from international governments to live in various countries, and my work has been featured in VICE, Forbes, Business Insider, Wired, NPR, and the documentary One Way Ticket: A Digital Nomad Story.

I created the Constellation Life Framework because I was tired of feeling like my job was the only thing that made life meaningful. Your birth chart is a blueprint for the specific life you were designed to live.

Most people just never learn how to read it, and that’s what I’m here for. I love analyzing, synthesizing, and understanding how and why we’re wired the way we are.

I look to the heavens and stars as a guide because…as above, so below.

“You are just so magical in every way. It’s like you were meant to do this. You light everyone up and teach them exactly what they need to be successful. It’s amazing."
