About Amy Truong

TLDR aka Short Bio:

Amy Truong is a “multi-passionate” mystic and spiritual seeker with ADHD who likes to share tools and practices to make a little meaning out of life. She is also the author of Divine Cosmos Tarot (Llewellyn, October 2026) and working on her forthcoming book, MoonShift.

With a background in tech, business strategy, and nonprofit leadership, I bridge the worlds of cosmic magic and practicality by understanding astrology + birth charts as a compass for purpose, creativity, and direction.

I grew up watching my Vietnamese grandmother read Tarot for a living after immigrating to the US during the Vietnam War.

By the time I was 12, I was reading horoscopes in teen magazines, and over time, that curiosity deepened into a study of Western and Vietnamese/Chinese astrology, Tarot, moon cycles, spellwork, and spiritual energetics.

The van has a Hawaii license plate reading 'BUSLUV' and is decorated with a fringed blanket and pillows, with lush tropical greenery visible outside.

I’ve lived many lives, using astrology as my celestial guide:
→ From the corporate tech world and IT consulting
→ traveling the world as a digital nomad (35+ and counting)
→ pivoting to nonprofit leadership + strategy
→ writing, publishing, and building spiritual frameworks that may (or may not) guide others to live their life with a little more clarity and understanding.

Behind All The Woo Woo

I’m spiritual, I guess? Or maybe I’m just super curious about things we don’t fully understand, but I use astrology, tarot, and all the other things as practical tools for transformation and real-life change.

Through astrology, I found a way to understand myself and to create a life that felt more aligned with my values and who I am. I like to bring my strengths and skills to the forefront while trying to understand and manage my struggles and challenges.

I’m the type of person who needs to make meaning out of something that happens, and astrology and tarot help bridge that gap.

My work blends the mystical + magic with the measurable…because magic is powerful, but it’s even more impactful when it’s anchored in real-world + practical action.

It’s helped me understand my strengths, the power of alignment, the timing of change (through transits and progressions), the lessons behind challenges, and the type of work where my energy thrives, and abundance can prosper.

For example:

  • It pointed me toward the kind of work where my luck and abundance could grow (Jupiter)

  • It revealed the karmic wounds I’d been repeating (Chiron) + how to move forward

  • It helped me understand some of my challenges during childhood (Pluto in the 4th)

  • It gave me clarity about how to navigate life when my mother passed away and when a relationship crumbled at the same time (so many square transits).

  • It even helped me decide where to live for more ease and opportunity

Astrology as a Framework for Clarity

Astrology is NOT a belief system. It’s a language + framework for self-understanding and self-discovery.

It reveals your life’s blueprint and your highest potential by offering insights into your personality, motivations, strengths, and challenges, all important factors in trying to make meaning.

Every person’s birth chart is unique, just like a fingerprint, and by analyzing your chart, we discover aspects of yourself that might not be obvious through “regular” self-reflection.

Publications & Interviews

In her previous life, Amy’s unconventional lifestyle led to international governments paying her to live in different countries. This unconventional lifestyle also earned a few pieces in media publications such as VICEBusiness Insider, The Independent, EntrepreneurForbesWired, NPR, and One Way Ticket: A Digital Nomad Documentary.

Amy’s advocacy for Alzheimer’s disease after her mother’s diagnosis with younger-onset Alzheimer’s led her to become a Hawai’i state ambassador and advocate with the Alzheimer’s Association. In this role, she played a pivotal part in passing state and federal laws to support people and families affected by the disease.
