About Amy Truong

TLDR aka Short Bio:

Amy Truong is a “multi-passionate” mystic, career strategist, and author of the upcoming Divine Cosmos Tarot (Llewellyn, 2026).

I help intuitive, spiritual heart-led seekers discover career paths that feel authentic, aligned, and fulfilling, because I’ve had to do the same in my own life.

I grew up watching my Vietnamese grandmother read Tarot for a living after immigrating to the US during the Vietnam War.

By the time I was 12, I was reading horoscopes in teen magazines, and over time, that curiosity deepened into a study of Western and Vietnamese/Chinese astrology, Tarot, moon cycles, spellwork, and spiritual energetics.

The van has a Hawaii license plate reading 'BUSLUV' and is decorated with a fringed blanket and pillows, with lush tropical greenery visible outside.

Before I became a astrology + career guide, I’ve lived many lives:
→ From the corporate tech world and IT consulting
→ To traveling the world as a digital nomad (35+ and counting)
→ To nonprofit leadership + strategy
→ To writing, publishing, and building spiritual frameworks that guide others back home to themselves

The Real-World Skills That Get Results

I’m not just a mystic; I’ve helped people land jobs, change industries, and pivot careers with strategic resumes, aligned LinkedIn profiles, and successful job applications, as well as effective networking.

I’ve done this for myself (many times) and for others in tech, nonprofit, education, and creative roles. I know how to translate your story into language that resonates with hiring managers, without losing your voice or yourself.

The Mission

Every time I reached a breaking point, whether it was due to burnout, boredom, or frustration, astrology provided me with the insight I needed to make thoughtful, intentional decisions.

  • It pointed me toward the kind of work where my luck and abundance could grow (Jupiter)

  • It revealed the karmic wounds I’d been repeating (Chiron) and how to move forward finally.

  • It helped me understand some of my challenges during childhood (Pluto in the 4th)

  • It gave me clarity about how to navigate life when my mother passed away and when my marriage crumbled at the same time (so many square transits).

  • It even helped me decide where to live for more ease and opportunity

Astrology is a framework for self-discovery. It reveals your life’s blueprint and your highest potential by offering insights into your personality, motivations, strengths, and challenges, which are all important factors when deciding your career (and life) path.

Every person’s birth chart is unique, just like a fingerprint, and by analyzing your chart, we discover aspects of yourself that might not be obvious through “regular” self-reflection.

Career Clarity Compass was created to merge magic + strategy so you can design, create, and live an inspired life.

Publications & Interviews

In her previous life, Amy’s unconventional lifestyle led to international governments paying her to live in different countries. This lifestyle also earned her recognition in media publications such as VICEBusiness Insider, The Independent, EntrepreneurForbesWired, NPR, and One Way Ticket: A Digital Nomad Documentary.

Amy’s advocacy for Alzheimer’s disease after her mother’s diagnosis with younger-onset Alzheimer’s led her to become a Hawai’i state ambassador and advocate with the Alzheimer’s Association. In this role, she played a pivotal part in helping to pass state and federal laws to support people and families impacted by the disease. Her efforts have been highlighted in Generations Magazine, KHON2’s Living 808 and Part 1, Alzheimer’s Awareness, Gray DC, and other podcasts, blogs, and publications.
